Working with young people (age 11+) is my speciality.
I have 17 years of experience working with young people so I understand the variety of their needs and I can adapt my approach to suit them individually.
I am warm and approachable and I have plenty of tools up my sleeve to make therapy feel as easy and comfortable as possible!
I am an Integrative therapist so I can flexibly use the most effective therapeutic techniques to help my clients make the positive changes they need.
I can work short term or long term, depending on your preference. Counselling doesn’t need to always feel sad, serious or scary and I am committed to making it meaningful and sometimes that means having a bit of fun too!
We are all human and I believe the most powerful way to make positive changes is to develop a strong, positive, therapeutic relationship and that way, the changes can be long lasting and reach into every area of life.
So many young people I have worked with have felt let down by other agencies who have offered support and this has led to even lower self esteem or even more worry about how they feel. It doesn’t need to be this way - with the right support, they can get back to who they want to be and they can find healthy ways to move forward. It is such a crucial time in a person’s life and if they can be cared for through counselling, they can learn how to stay safe, both emotionally and physically.
